How to Get Rid of Candida Yeast Infection

This year, I interviewed Dr. Carolyn Dean on “How to Get Rid of a Yeast Infection

I asked her about the main questions that can help us decide how we can look further into yeast overgrowth? What are the questions that we should ask ourselves?

Here’s what she said:

Dr. Crook did extensive studies of the relationship between health and Candida and years ago developed a questionnaire. It had dozens and dozens of questions. Sometimes it’s overwhelming for people.

He did a study where he did blood testing to determine yeast overgrowth and compared it to the questionnaire. He found there were seven basic questions to ask.

Ask yourself these seven questions to know whether or not you may be suffering from yeast overgrowth.

First question: Have you, at any time in your life, taken broad-spectrum antibiotics?

Number Two: Have you taken tetracycline or other broad-spectrum antibiotics for a month or longer? That’s the poor folks who have had to take it for acne, for example.

Number Three: Are your symptoms worse on damp, muggy days or in moldy places? That’s when you walk down into a basement and just smell the moldiness and immediately get a headache.

Number Four: Do you crave sugar? That’s because the yeast loves sugar. Yeast infections actually make you feel like you’re craving sugar to feed them.

Number Five: Do you have a feeling of being drained and just exhausted? That’s because the immune system is so busy dealing with these 178 different toxins that you’re just completely drained.

Number Six: Are you bothered by vaginal or penile burning, itching or discharge?

Number Seven: Are you bothered by burning, itching or tearing of the eyes? “It’s almost like you’re up to your eyeballs in yeast. It’s coming out as a discharge with your tears.”

I would also add that such people may also suffer from chronic sinus infections, because even the Mayo Clinic, in a report on sinus infections, said 97% of them are fungal-related. Certainly sinus infections are treated with massive amounts of antibiotics. That alone is going to create an overgrowth of yeast.

Symptoms of headache, itchy eyes, sinus infections, sore throat, swollen breasts, PMS, and stomach symptoms of heartburn, even heart palpitations can be related.

Gas and bloating are especially clear symptoms of yeast overgrowth. Constipation, and/or diarrhea and joint pains; all these symptoms are related to yeast overgrowth.
