I just watch the video of your son making the chocolate mousse. Looks
delicious and I can’t wait to try it. You must be so proud of him. My
question is do you use stevia as a sweetner and what do you think of stevia?
Is it a safe sweetner to use? I thought of replacing some of the dates in
this recipe with stevia. Thank you
Betty, Stevia is very safe for human and animal consumption.
I’ve never tried stevia in the chocolate mousse. Just be careful with the amount.
it’s 250 to 300 times sweeter than sugar.
Studies have shown the following benefits from using Stevia in one’s diet.
ref: Dr Mercola
* Sugarless with no calories
* Will not effect blood sugar levels like sugar does.
* 100% Natural
* 250 to 300 times sweeter than sugar
* Heat stable to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit)
* Non-fermentable
* Flavor enhancer
* Plaque retardant Anti-caries (prevents cavities)
* Recommended for diabetics
* Non-toxic Extensively tested in animals and Extensively used by humans with no adverse effects.
This is such a great video. Your son is quite the comedian and he has made it such fun. And, I love the ending – it must have brought tears to your eyes as it did to mine. You must be sooo proud of him. With love, Ann
This is one of my favorite recipes to make… in fact whenever im invited to a dinner party i’m always asked something along the lines of: “ummm Jesse, dyou mind making that Nancy chocolate mousse again” then ofcourse it ends up stealing the show because people can’t believe its made with avocados..
Forgot to mention in the video that you can use agave syrup in place of maple syrup and also to chill an hour or so before serving.
I to am now restricted in what I can eat. Very hard when starting this road of change, BUT to have a special treat made this way, ( CHOCLATE MOUSE JUST THE BEST) i cant wait to try it. Thank you for sharing and caring,
Hi Nancy,
I just finished enjoying the chocolate mousse. I couldn’t wait for it to chill – it is great right out of the blender. Jesse did a great job on the video. This recipe will definitely be put in my book of favourites.
I wasn’t going to try this anytime soon, but since Jesse did such a great job showing me how easy it is, I’ll give it a whirl (pun intended). I have a son in his early 20′s and just couldn’t help but laugh at the great energy Good stuff!
