Calendula Healing Hand Salve

My hands took a beating in the garden last weekend, and the salve was super-helpful. You'll love it.  Last summer, I grew lots of calendula (marigold) flowers in my garden. I add them in my salad, make fresh tea and picked the rest to be dried.  I made my first batch of calendula salve this weekend. I'm happy with the result. Great moisturizer for dry skin and for severely chapped or split skin.

Summer Garden in Bancroft!

I've spent the whole summer working from the cottage, and what an amazing summer we've had! The atmosphere is totally different up here. And, as you know, I love working in the garden. Our son Jesse, who now lives in Australia, came down this summer to spend some time with us. He had just purchased a drone, so we were his first project! He took some nice aerial shots of the Cottage/Garden.

DIY Bath Bomb to Relax & Detoxify

I love baths; they are so relaxing! This is my first week officially back from the cottage! I don’t usually take baths up there, but since coming back, I’ve been taking baths almost every night to reap the benefits of Epsom salts, which help detoxify, boost the immune system, relieve aches, and increase magnesium.  In addition to adding Epsom salts to my baths, I also like to add a little baking soda, coconut oil, and essential oils for the benefits they provide. Now you can bring this to the next level! I’ve been going crazy making bath bombs these past few weeks. They are very popular, and you can make your own with this bath-bomb recipe.
