Gut-Healing Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie is one of my favorite recipes from Dr. Axe to soothe the gut. It is also a great reminder of just how easy and delicious healthy eating can be. All the wholesome ingredients work together to make a creamy drink that’ll satisfy your taste buds while soothing your gut. And it couldn’t be simpler to make!.

Gut-Healing Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup full-fat coconut milk or almond milk
1+ cup water
1 cup kale
1 cup spinach
1/2 avocado
½ to 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks (or you can use 1 pear)
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1/2 Tbsp chia or flax seeds
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
1 scoop bone broth protein *

* The bone broth I use and recommend is Ancient Nutrition — Bone Broth Protein Vanilla, which you can order on Amazon. There are other brands out there, but this is the one I’ve tried.

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth (about 2 to 3 minutes).
Note: This recipe make a single serving.
