Ended my 15 yr. Addiction to Coffee and my Craving for Sugar!

Dear Nancy,
I just wanted you to know how grateful I am for the 7-Day Sugar Free Diet!
gordoni_family_apr_092My 10th baby was born ten months ago. I have been a size 12-14 for years. Your information and encouragement helped me go from a size 12 to a size 8! (My 12s were loose when I started). The 7-Day Sugar Free Diet is not really a diet at all, but more of a lifestyle change and one that I am implementing with my entire family.

I am continuing to lose weight. I am officially at a size 8 (went from a post-pregnancy size of 16 in August of last year)! I know I have not been this weight in at least 13 years and I am very grateful…even if I don’t lose another pound or inch, I feel good and am very content where I am right now. However, thanks to you and your program and all I’ve gleaned from you, I am on a path of healthier eating/living! :o )

My husband is also very grateful. When I used to make dietary changes for my family, he wasn’t on board with me, but now he is. I’ve brought along with me on this journey and he’s lost 25 pounds! He feels so much better and he told me the other day, “I just feel better when I eat healthier!” He also notices how much better he feels when he exercises regularly.

We are planning a big trip to Orlando, Florida at the end of the month…I was so excited when I tried on a size 8 bathing suit and it actually fit and looked good! :o ) (Usually bathing suits can run smaller than regular clothes). We’ve been working hard as a family to earn money for our trip (doing odd jobs for friends and relatives, etc.) and we almost have the amount we need to go! I’m so grateful to the Lord and all He’s provided and I’m really looking forward to our trip! We are going to have fun and I’ll be supporting my husband, who will be in some acting and singing competitions.

Some of the permanent changes I’ve made to my daily routine are adding organic lemon juice to my water in the morning, drinking extra water (I start with drinking about 40 oz. in the morning), and having green smoothies mixed with freshly ground flax and chia seeds. In fact, my dear husband will often wake me up with a green smoothie for me! :o )

I will also start cleansing when the seasons change. We now eat more fruits and vegetables than we used to. We rarely eat beef anymore and when we do, we make sure that it’s “clean” beef. We do eat chicken, but make sure it is “clean” chicken. I am learning how to cook healthier and it’s a lot of fun! It’s such a blessing to know that I am making good, nourishing food for my family. I’m also glad to establish healthier eating habits for my children because the eating habits I grew up on were not so healthy!

Thank you and God bless you,
