When we are active we lose a lot of needed nutrients in the body.
~In order to healthy , stay hydrated and have enough fuel to continue with the day we need to be able to replenish what we lost. Electrolytes generally have three functions in our body: they provide us with essential minerals; they control the osmosis of water between the compartments of our body; and they help to maintain the balance of acid that we require for normal cellular activity.

~Squeeze one whole lemon into a cup or blender. Lemons naturally contain electrolytes. The ones you just lost during the workout are now regained.
~Add 2 flat tablespoons of sea salt. The sea salt contains various minerals needed by the body. These minerals are lost through sweat and fat burn during a workout.

And chances are, if you’re not starting your day with a sweetened coffee and a doughnut, you’re grabbing a big glass of fruit juice. Why aren’t we thinking vegetables instead?
