Group.

The quickest way to lose weight is to eat healthy, detoxify your body, use some good supplements for weight management, and exercise daily!

So if you missed the interview, here’s the excerpt regarding what we talked about:

Obesity and weight gain is directly related to chemicals and toxins that you’re not getting out of the body. Toxins and chemicals are stored in the fat cells. I haven’t seen one overweight person or anybody suffering from obesity or weight gain who isn’t completely riddled with heavy metals, chemicals, and all kinds of other toxins in their system.

Dr. Edward F. Group

Most of that is coming in, obviously, through the diet and drinks they’re consuming, the prescription medications they’re on, or something else.

The reason I put cleansing the liver as the most important for weight loss is that the liver is the organ that detoxifies all of the chemicals and toxins that come into the body, and it also helps metabolize fat by producing bile. Bile is actually stored in the gallbladder.

Bile increases the surface tension of the fat molecules that come in or decreases the surface tension so it can work with the enzyme lipase to emulsify the fat at a faster rate. That’s why a lot of people get stuck in the cycle of trying to lose weight.

They can’t lose weight, and they’re trying all these different techniques. It’s because their liver is congested, and the liver becomes fatty.

It starts accumulating a lot of fat. The first thing that I always recommend everybody do if they’re trying to lose weight is to do a liver and gallbladder cleanse. Actually, I recommend they do three of them.

In most cases, after that the liver can start processing and metabolizing fat a lot faster. They can get rid of that fat that they’ve had such a hard time trying to lose.

It’s very simple to realize that when you look at the functions that the liver and the gallbladder do. What amazes me is how simple it is to not only fix weight loss but to fix any degenerative disease. I don’t know why that information isn’t out there. It’s just very simple. The liver is the main organ that’s going to metabolize your fat and all your toxins.

You would only think that medical professionals and everybody else would be saying weight gain and obesity is directly related to a fatty and malfunctioning liver that’s only functioning at about 10% to 20% capacity. Those individuals keep loading more sugars. It’s like what you talk about a lot: they put more refined sugars and toxins into their body, and their liver is overworked.

It can never catch up with the ability to emulsify and break down the amount of fats that people are putting in and detoxify all the harmful chemicals that are coming in at the same time. It’s basically overworked and stressed. It becomes fatty, and that’s what leads to the majority of the weight gain.

In my weight loss ebook, I have the number one secret: it’s the liver and gallbladder cleansing and to do three liver and gallbladder cleansings. Ultimately, it is better to do an intestinal cleanse oxy powder first, which is the number two secret in my ebook. The reason is that you want to have the intestines clean enough so when the liver starts dumping all of that fatty toxic buildup that’s been accumulating for so long, it moves down the intestines and you have a normal bowel movement to get it out.

If you do an intestinal cleanse and you use a good oxygen-based cleanser first, then your intestines are going to be clean. Not only that, but you’re probably going to lose anywhere from six to 40 pounds just by doing a six- or seven-day intestinal cleanse. The average weight is about six pounds, but I’ve had people in six to 14 days lose 40 pounds. It’s not fat.

First, start your morning with freshly squeezed lemon in warm water. This helps to cleanse the liver and promote detoxification. It also stimulates bile production, cleanses the stomach and stimulates bowel motion.

Here’s a recipe for an amazing drink for the liver that I highly recommend:

A.M. Liver Cleanse

* 1 large grapefruit
* 2 lemons
* 1 cup of filtered water
* 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed flax oil
* 1 inch of fresh ginger root
* dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

The stomach is responsible for breaking down and processing fats, but in truth the gallbladder and liver are the primary organs here. As these organs have so much input into the entire cycle, don’t even try and think about losing weight until you are sure that they are both clean and working as they should.

Our society has much to blame when it comes to the unhealthy habits that we exhibit from childhood. Obese children continue their habits through their lifetimes, but we also fail to pay attention to the fact that poor liver and gallbladder health is very contributory and has been for generations.

It’s very sad to see an obese child and unless we intervene at an appropriate time, this problem will continue throughout his or her life. Why do we not teach them the importance of a correct diet, daily exercise and that they need to clean and detoxify the body regularly?

If your liver and gallbladder are clogged or not functioning, then your healthy diet and regular exercise regime may not be enough. You must pay particular attention to what comes out of your body as well as what you put in there.

How Can You Lose Weight if Your Liver and Gallbladder are Failing?

We see evidence of new diets all the time and it is a huge industry in our Western society. People regularly start and fail on these diets and cannot lose weight.

They may not realize that they have toxic buildup in the gallbladder and liver. Unless you understand how these organs work and how essential they are to regulate our weight, problems will remain.

Let me explain: The liver, the largest organ that we possess is connected to the small intestine. It produces a secretion called bile that breaks down our digestive fats into smaller pieces, so that they can, together with associated vitamins, be absorbed within the small intestine.

The liver has an important function in this respect and develops its bile from a combination of molecules such as cholesterol, bilirubin, phospholipids, bile acids and also electrolytes. Most people believe the liver is essentially in place to purge the damaging alcoholic chemicals and other toxins from our body.

Just as any other machine will start to fail if not maintained properly, the efficiency of our organs will diminish after years of damage. They will not be able to break down the fats as well and this will automatically lead to weight gain and an inability to do anything about it.

Even more worrying, stones can begin to accumulate, compounding the damage. The gallbladder is essentially a storage location. It is shaped like a kidney bean, situated just beneath the liver in the upper part of the abdomen. The hepatic duct connects to the liver and allows the gallbladder to store the bile produced by the other organ.

The primary job of the bile is to aid the lipase enzymes to digest fats. What is Digestive Bile for?

Digestive bile breaks down fats and toxins, allowing the intestines to move these materials through the tract in an ongoing process of elimination. The bile promotes the peristaltic action that culminates in your bowel movement. Without this bile, therefore, toxins and other debris would falter within the intestines and start building up elsewhere, promoting weight gain and even constipation. The bile releases fat soluble vitamins, such as A and E, together with fatty acids.

Such as:

Best time to do liver/gallbladder cleanse?

How often should it be done?

How long does it take to receive the full benefits?

Which book do you recommend to read?

I am pregnant, is it okay for me to do a liver cleanse?

Is it really important to do a colonic before each liver cleanse?

Personally, I do a liver and gallbladder cleanse 3-4 times a year. I’ll do one in the spring and another one or two in the summer and another one in the fall just before winter but not in the winter time.

I did an interview with Annie Jubb, She’s widely recognized as a world authority on detoxifying the body and self-rejuvenation. She usually recommends between 12 and 15 gallbladder flushes. You can do that over a couple of years, every couple of months. It depends. If you’re not well, you can do one every week for six months if you want to. She had many clients who have been healing from cancers, and a number of them have gone for six months doing a weekly gallbladder flush.

Q: How many liver cleanses would a person need to go on and how would we know that the liver is clean?

This answer was from Andreas Moritz, author of The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse. Obviously, you would want to clean the liver until there’s nothing coming out anymore. That means all the bile ducts in the liver – and you’re talking about hundreds and thousands of bile ducts. It’s like a tree – actually there are two trees in the liver, where you have the main trunk, and you have the big branches, and then smaller branches, and then tiny branches.

It took 12 liver flushes to clear out all the stones that I had, and that amounted to about 3.5 thousand stones. Not everyone has that many, but there are quite a few that have many more than that.

Q: How does the average person know?

It’s how you look and feel. Are you looking and feeling good, or have you noticed yourself aging and not having the greatest energy lately? Have you been eating a lot of starchy foods and cooked foods? Maybe it’s time for a little cleanse.

Q: If someone is pregnant, is it safe to do a liver cleanse?

It is, and it’s wonderful for both the mother and the baby. With pregnant women, as with everyone.

Q: If you had your gallbladder removed, can you still do a cleanse?

When I asked the question to Andreas Moritz, author of The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse, here what he said:

People don’t realize that the gallbladder is not the only place where you can hold stones. In fact, most of the stones are carried in the liver. So the patient is not told when they tell her or him that his gallbladder needs to be removed because there are stones in there that once the stones are gone with the gallbladder, everything is going to be fine. That is not quite true.

The complaints will actually increase in a different way because you don’t have a gallbladder and you cannot have the typical gallstone attack that you could have when the stone from the gallbladder enters the common bile duct. Your common bile duct starts to contract and then you have a spasm that radiates into your shoulders and into your intestines, even into your head and into your legs. So it can radiate throughout the body, and you cannot breathe properly.

An attack is not a fun thing, but removing the gallbladder is only one way to deal with stones – there are other ways to stop the attack naturally. Give a person a tablespoon of Epsom salt and a glass of water and that will relax the bile duct because magnesium has that ability. Magnesium sulfate is basically Epsom salt. Then the person would allow that stone to travel through, and then the attack would stop.

Q: Is it really necessary to have a colonic before or after each liver and gall bladder cleanse.

For optimum results, the liver cleanse should always be prepared and followed by some from of colonic cleansing. Experience shows that there are always some stones left behind that could become a source of toxicity, irritation, or inflammation. It is strongly recommend that you do not do liver cleanses without having a colonic or an enema afterward. Ref: Andreas Moritz: The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse.

Q: Which book would you recommend out there for Liver and Gallbladder cleanse?

~Shed winter weight
~Boost your energy and look fantastic
~Take care of your liver and gallbladder
~Ideal daily and seasonal living routines to promote health and rejuvenation.

Most people unknowingly suffer from a dangerous buildup of gallstones in the liver and gallbladder.

These stones clog up the body’s cleansing organs and create a toxic environment incapable of maintaining good health. Eventually, and more often sooner than later, you become fatigued, your tissues grow inflamed and you gain weight.

I’m still juicing dandelion first thing in the morning!

My husband bought a case of organic dandelion from the city last week – can you imagine the explanation at the cash register? What on earth are you planning to do with one case of dandelion?!

We are so immune to being questioned all the time regarding our food choices (:)) at the store.

Dandelion is starting to grow now, so we should be able to pick our own this week.

This is the time of the year to Go Wild and add some in your salad and blended soup. Your liver will thank you!

If you have a juicer – go for it. Juice 1 cup of dandelion juice every morning. Dilute 1:1 with water. This is such a great and inexpensive way to cleanse your liver! One cup might be too much for newbies!
start with 1/3 cup of juice and work your way up.

As a bitter tonic, dandelion helps the liver and gall bladder produce bile for better assimilation.

Dandelion Juice – Give your body a “Natural High”

For the past few weeks, I’ve been drinking one-half cup of fresh dandelion juice every morning and another half cup before dinner.

Dandelion can also lower blood pressure, and build stamina. Who doesn’t need more stamina?

Dandelion Leaf is an ancient remedy and is still used today to help remove excess water and toxins from our body. Promoting excretion of bile from the liver enables our body to get back to the business of processing foods and ridding the body of dangerous toxins at the same time.

Efficient bile production and flow gives our body a boost when it comes to metabolizing fat, which in turn helps the body regulate cholesterol levels. Did you know that when you lose weight, acids build up in the body, but dandelion effectively rids the body of these excess acids?

Dandelion Leaf also stimulates functions of the gallbladder, the organ responsible for storing and excreting bile.

Dandelion Leaf has been known to relieve symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, thanks to its diuretic action. Actually, dandelion is beneficial to all living things, even our pets. Loaded with sodium, calcium, iron, beta-carotene and vitamins A and C, it’s one of the most beneficial for major organs and body system functions.

Keep in mind that some people with sensitive digestion might find the juice a tad strong, so if you’re one of those people, just dilute the dandelion juice with carrot juice or water.

Oh, and select dandelion greens from an area that hasn’t been sprayed with herbicides, or better yet, buy organic.

The answer is a big YES!

I’ve talked about liver all this month, and can’t stress enough how important it is to really take care of your liver. Here’s one book you might find interesting if you still question whether or not you should do a liver cleanse.
It’s called: The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse

I borrowed the book, The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse by Andreas Moritz from a friend last year, read it and then went out and bought my own copy.

Since then, I’ve done several liver/gallbladder cleanses using similar but not exact techniques, always successfully, but never this successful! Since I’m not a newcomer to liver cleansing, I do have something to compare it to.

This book is the most comprehensive that I’ve found on the liver flush. Andreas explains in easy to understand and carefully researched terms how our modern day illnesses relate to our ‘sick livers’. Our liver has been forgotten in our quest for wellness, and Andreas writes again and again on it being the most important organ in our body, and thus how very important it is to keep it clean. The liver flush is very simple, yet so effective. I believe it’s the answer to many or all of our modern day illnesses.
you order your copy from Andreas’s website

You can help the liver’s regenerative process by adding these foods and nutrients to your diet:

Rather than indulging in heavy dishes, fried pastries and bottles of wine add some of these nutritious foods to your diet and
give yourself and your liver a true gift.

Fresh vegetable juices

Chlorophyll-rich foods: Wheat or barley grass juice or powder, along with chlorella, spirulina, or wild blue-green
algae have in many cases proven to be useful in jump-starting up a sluggish liver.

Garlic and onions: Garlic contains allicin, which is a sulfur-based compound needed by the liver for effective
detoxification. Garlic helps the liver rid the body of mercury, certain food additives and hormones.

Fresh vegetables: Eat plenty of fresh, lightly cooked, or raw vegetables, especially dark green, leafy vegetables such
as parsley, kale, watercress, alfalfa sprouted and collard greens. Orange, yellow, purple, and red-colored fruits and vegetables are also good, as they contain living enzymes, fiber, vitamin C, natural antibiotics and cancer-fighting phytonutrients.

High-antioxidant fruits: Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries are all high in antioxidants, which help to protect the liver from the high levels of free radicals that are naturally produced during the process of
detoxification.

Bitter foods: The bitterness of foods such as dandelion, arugula, endive, radicchio, sorrel and watercress helps to
stimulate bile flow within the liver.

Herbs: Dill, caraway seeds, garlic, onions, boldo, turmeric and cayenne are easy to use in your food and can help
protect the liver.

Dandelion root tea: This simple tea enhances the entire digestive track and it is particularly effective at relieving
digestion after a high-fat meal. Dandelion is also an excellent herb for weight loss, as the leaves are a diuretic and the root improves fat metabolism.

Omega-3 fatty acids: Good sources of these important fats are ground flaxseed, flaxseed oil, walnuts, borage oil,
krill oil, chia seeds, purslane, acai, algae, hemp seeds, grape seed oil. Water: Drink 8 to 12 cups of pure water each day. Water helps the kidneys get rid of the toxins that the liver has broken down.

Nuts, seeds, avocados: These are good food sources of polyunsaturated fats and monounsaturated fats, all less
harmful to the liver than saturated fats.

Hot water and lemon juice: This easy and healthy tonic works wonders for sweeping the bad stuff out your liver.
