<p><span id="more-15112"></span></p>
<p>In our world, we deal with <strong>four basic conditions that interfere with normal health and wellbeing</strong>:<strong> toxic overload,</strong> <strong>nutritional imbalance</strong> and <strong>deficiency</strong>, <strong>fungal overgrowth</strong>, and<strong> adrenal fatigue</strong>. To have any semblance of health over time, we must address these four conditions. And Michael maintains that nothing is more effective <strong>than clay,</strong> which plays an essential role in any nutritional program.</p>
<p>Clay is the cornerstone of his entire philosophy of health and of his herbal program today. What are its benefits to us physiologically? Our bodies need clay to remove toxins and make nutrients bioavailable. <strong>Clay is antibacterial</strong> and assists in the<strong> oxygenation of cells</strong>. It is <strong>electromagnetic</strong> and acts as a <strong>powerful magnet, pulling toxins out</strong> of our system. It reduces the pathogen count in our bodies by bonding with and neutralizing them. It <strong>increases our friendly flora</strong>. And it works miraculously in the garden!</p>
<p>The world deals with four basic conditions that interfere with normal health and wellbeing. They are toxic overload, nutritional imbalance and deficiency, fungal overgrowth—that’s a huge one—and adrenal fatigue.</p>
<p><strong><em>HERE&#8217;S AN EXCERPT</em> of the interview I did with Michael:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Michael King: </strong> As to toxins in our environment, it is absolutely essential to get them out of the way if we’re going to have any semblance of health over any length of time. The ones you’ve mentioned are the reasons why the three essentials for vibrant health include detoxification and nourishment and building health. Now we have radiation, which we’ve always had. Now we have more of it.</p>
<p><strong>Now we have more and more chemicals falling from the skies and in our water and food</strong>. We have to be very conscious, more so in this day and age than ever before.</p>
<p><strong>To remove toxins there is nothing more effective, in my book, than taking a simple clay bath</strong>. It’s gentle and powerful, especially during the first three days to two weeks. In some cases there have been high chemical exposures.</p>
<p><strong>They can be farm chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, house, environmental, work chemicals, or from medical treatments, which are very toxic</strong>. You have to be able to pull that back out of your system.</p>
<p><strong>The clay bath is gentle after you get past that initial phase, and there are ways to speed it along.</strong> That’s why we have Black Beauty. Electrolytes are the key to moving toxins out of the body faster.</p>
<p><strong>You need electrolytes to literally mobilize a toxin from one place to another, and out of the cells into the bloodstream, and then from there into the clay.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The clay is like a magnet and is constantly pulling, the thicker or more abundant the clay.</strong> Water does play a valuable role in that because it converts silica to the amorphous silica in this clay, which is one of its secrets, to orthosilicic acid, which is an anti-aging nutrient.</p>
<p><strong>Water plays a role in that recombination of minerals for that purpose.</strong> It helps bring nutrients to your cells and it helps to pull nutrients out. A simple clay bath is giving you all of these benefits without you needing to know about them.</p>
<p>You just feel lighter, uplifted and energized, but calmed and soothed, once you get past the detoxification phase.</p>

<p>Skin brushing, a technique that goes back thousands of years, may be one the best ways to treat your skin today. It is done by gently brushing dry skin and is used to clean, stimulate and exfoliate the skin.  In the past, rough materials such as loofah, dried corn cobs or sand have been used.</p>
<p>Today, the most popular ways to perform dry skin brushing is with the still popular loofah, exfoliation mitt or my favorite a long handled vegetable fiber brush. Avoid synthetic brushes as they may cause irritation.</p>
<p><strong>What Are The Benefits of Skin Brushing?</strong></p>
<p>•    Helps to remove dead skin cells, opening pores and preventing clogging.<br /> •    Open pores are better able to eliminate sweat and toxins which help the body to detoxify. Since 1/4 of our body&#8217;s detoxification each day is through our skin, our skin can eliminate about 2lbs. of waste.<br /> •    Increases blood flow to the skin and improves circulation.<br /> •    Increases lymphatic circulation by stimulating the lymph glands to release toxins. The lymph glands are a part of our bodies natural defense system. Lymph travels through our lymph system located throughout our bodies (groin, armpit, neck, under the jaw, behind the ears and the back of the head) and helps filter impurities out eventually moving them out through the colon.<br /> •    And as an added benefit, it helps fight cellulite by helping to break down those fat cells.</p>
<p><strong>Simple Steps</strong></p>
<p>The best time for brushing the skin is when the skin is dry, just prior to bathing.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve never used a dry brush, you may find it to be very stiff and rough especially when you are new to brushing your skin. Start out very gently until your skin gets used to it.</p>
<p>Start brushing your skin in small circles. I like to start with the soles of my feet and work up in each leg. Always work toward the heart. Next move on to hands and arms.</p>
<p>Brush upwards on the body and across the back, up the neck and across the jawline applying a lighter touch to areas where the skin is thinner. Avoid nipples and any sensitive or inflamed areas. That&#8217;s it.</p>
<p>You skin may have a slight flush due to increased blood circulation.</p>
<p>You can be done in as little as a few minutes. Now follow up with a shower of alternating hot and cold water to further improve circulation. It&#8217;s an invigorating way to start the day.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget to moisturize. This is the perfect time now that all the dead skin cells have been removed.</p>
<p>If you stick with it and that&#8217;s easy because it feels so good, your skin will be feeling soft and smooth. And you don&#8217;t  have to go to any great expense or go to a spa.</p>

<p>For a period of time you can reduce the fats in your diet if you have been eating too much processed and cooked fats. Too much fat can overload the liver, causing the skin to become very dry.</p>
<p>Eliminating or reducing the fats for 1-2 weeks gives the liver some rest and allows it to cleanse.</p>
<p>Interestingly enough, if you do not have enough fats, the same thing can occur &#8211; the skin can become too dry. Make sure you eat raw fats 4-6 times per week.</p>
<p>This can be in the form of low-temperature pressed oils (2-3 tbsp. 1-2x daily) from olives, flax, hemp and pumpkin seeds, avocados, olives (10-12 olives 3-4x week), coconut, raw nuts and seeds (1-3 tbsp. 4-5x week).</p>
<p><strong>Avocado Caraway Dressing:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1 avocado</li>
<li>3 tablespoons lemon juice</li>
<li>3 tablespoons ginger juice</li>
<li>2 tablespoons caraway</li>
<li>1/4 teaspoon black pepper</li>
</ul>
<p>dash to 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan or Celtic Salt dash cayenne 1 cup kalamata olive water or blessed water with a dash of Celtic or Himalayan salt.  Blend all ingredients together in high-powered blender. Serve 1-2.</p>

<p>Do not wear your mask longer than 5 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.Follow with cold rinse. Dry skin with a towel. Finish by applying a moisturizing cream</p>
