I’ve been recommending sea vegetables as part of my healing programs – weight loss, cellulite control, detoxification, beautiful hair and skin, and more. Sea vegetables can transform your health.

They are twelve times more nutritious than the average vegetable.

They are rich in minerals and vital trace minerals that we can barely find even in the richest organic soil, especially iodine, iron, B6, B12, magnesium and many others.

Sea vegetables are generally sold in dehydrated form, and if they’re stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, such as a kitchen cupboard or pantry, they will keep indefinitely. Because they’re dry when purchased, sea vegetables require soaking in water prior to use. Two exceptions are nori sheets and kelp, both of which can be eaten right out of the package.

Sea vegetables help your body in numerous ways:

Weight Management - The thyroid gland is under attack these days. More people have thyroid issues than ever before. Sea vegetables are a tonic for thyroid function, and increasing thyroid function can be beneficial for weight loss.

Beautiful Skin – With their internal moisturizing properties, improved detoxification results, and high concentration of skin-friendly nutrients, sea vegetables are huge in the natural beauty industry.

Remove Radioactive Compounds – Brown seaweed binds and expels radioactive isotopes from the thyroid gland. Detoxification is essential in the post-industrial age.

Remove Heavy Metals - Our ancestors never had to deal with cadmium, mercury and lead the way we do now. Sea vegetables (Wakame, Arame, Hijiki, and Kombu) help the body efficiently detox these industrial waste products.

As an example, imagine a late night out for dinner consisting of a hearty steak with a compliment of potatoes, wine, desert, and maybe more.

This combination of food can sit in your intestinal tract for days, not digesting properly.

If it sits in your intestinal tract too long, the steak with putrefy, carbohydrates will ferment and the fats will turn rancid causing a massive production of toxins in the bowel.

This will most likely make you feel miserable and sluggish the next few days.

It’s not recommended that anyone should eat like this, certainly not on a regular basis. If you find that you’ve splurged like this, it’s a good idea to expel this toxic material as soon as possible. An overnight colon cleanse is a fast, easy way to accomplish this.

Does not contain Harmful Herbs which can damage the delicate intestinal lining.

It cleanses, flushes, and detoxifies your colon while you SLEEP – How easy is that!

Can be used safely 2-3 times weekly to maintain normal bowel function or flush out heavy meals after episodes of overeating. Weekly use prevents food from putrefying, fermenting and turning rancid in your bowels which causes toxins to leak into your body.

By performing this cleanse you will eliminate the previous night’s meal the following day, preventing the formation of toxins in the bowel. OXYGEN COLON CLEANSE

Like the colon, the liver is begging for a cleanse.

First, start your morning with freshly squeezed lemon in warm water. This helps to cleanse the liver and promote detoxification. It also stimulates bile production, cleanses the stomach and stimulates bowel motion.

Here’s a recipe for an amazing drink for the liver that I highly recommend:

A.M. Liver Cleanse

* 1 large grapefruit
* 2 lemons
* 1 cup of filtered water
* 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed flax oil
* 1 inch of fresh ginger root
* dash of cayenne pepper (optional)

The stomach is responsible for breaking down and processing fats, but in truth the gallbladder and liver are the primary organs here. As these organs have so much input into the entire cycle, don’t even try and think about losing weight until you are sure that they are both clean and working as they should.

Our society has much to blame when it comes to the unhealthy habits that we exhibit from childhood. Obese children continue their habits through their lifetimes, but we also fail to pay attention to the fact that poor liver and gallbladder health is very contributory and has been for generations.

It’s very sad to see an obese child and unless we intervene at an appropriate time, this problem will continue throughout his or her life. Why do we not teach them the importance of a correct diet, daily exercise and that they need to clean and detoxify the body regularly?

If your liver and gallbladder are clogged or not functioning, then your healthy diet and regular exercise regime may not be enough. You must pay particular attention to what comes out of your body as well as what you put in there.

How Can You Lose Weight if Your Liver and Gallbladder are Failing?

We see evidence of new diets all the time and it is a huge industry in our Western society. People regularly start and fail on these diets and cannot lose weight.

They may not realize that they have toxic buildup in the gallbladder and liver. Unless you understand how these organs work and how essential they are to regulate our weight, problems will remain.

Let me explain: The liver, the largest organ that we possess is connected to the small intestine. It produces a secretion called bile that breaks down our digestive fats into smaller pieces, so that they can, together with associated vitamins, be absorbed within the small intestine.

The liver has an important function in this respect and develops its bile from a combination of molecules such as cholesterol, bilirubin, phospholipids, bile acids and also electrolytes. Most people believe the liver is essentially in place to purge the damaging alcoholic chemicals and other toxins from our body.

Just as any other machine will start to fail if not maintained properly, the efficiency of our organs will diminish after years of damage. They will not be able to break down the fats as well and this will automatically lead to weight gain and an inability to do anything about it.

Even more worrying, stones can begin to accumulate, compounding the damage. The gallbladder is essentially a storage location. It is shaped like a kidney bean, situated just beneath the liver in the upper part of the abdomen. The hepatic duct connects to the liver and allows the gallbladder to store the bile produced by the other organ.

The primary job of the bile is to aid the lipase enzymes to digest fats. What is Digestive Bile for?

Digestive bile breaks down fats and toxins, allowing the intestines to move these materials through the tract in an ongoing process of elimination. The bile promotes the peristaltic action that culminates in your bowel movement. Without this bile, therefore, toxins and other debris would falter within the intestines and start building up elsewhere, promoting weight gain and even constipation. The bile releases fat soluble vitamins, such as A and E, together with fatty acids.

1. Lose the hunger pangs. You can really lose weight without battling those pangs of hunger all the time. The chia seed is just perfect to help you with your battle; when water is added to them they increase in size, as the water forms a gel coating. This action makes you feel full and you will not want to eat, as the effects can last for hours.

Don’t worry about additional calories, as the gel is water-based – this amazing seed will help you handle those hunger cravings and not add any calories either.

2. If you’re craving, reach for the chia.

Your body is great at telling you something, especially if you’re deficient in certain minerals or vitamins. Your body can send you on a mission to the kitchen, as you crave foodstuffs that will make up for the particular deficiency.

Unfortunately, this can often lead to you eating the wrong foods and/or too much of the wrong thing, especially if you are on a selective diet of some kind.

Did you know that this will give you more calcium than if you drank a glass of milk? Using chia on a regular basis can be great all around, as it has more boron, magnesium and a host of trace minerals that will help you absorb your essential vitamins.

3. Feeling sleepy? – It’s your diet! If you’re constantly feeling tired and always want to lay down and take a quick nap, you may not be eating the right things. Your energy level is directly affected by what you intake. A lot of what we ingest these days is inferior or does not have the correct composition of protein and does not give us, consequently, the right amount of benefit.

Chia is one of nature’s best solutions when it comes to the intake of protein, as it has a complete balance to boost your energy levels. Don’t think that this energy comes in sharp spikes, either, as you will never be left feeling wiry. Take onboard your vitamins, minerals and balancing gel as part of a complete protein package.

4. Fight the free radicals! Antioxidants are very important in preventing damage to our body caused by free radicals. These villains of the peace can really do a number on our bodies, leading to a number of different illnesses, premature aging and inflammation. We need something to fight off the free radicals and antioxidants have been proven to be effective.

Healthcare providers preach at us to get the correct amount of antioxidants on a daily basis, but they seem to only be available in hard to get exotic fruits or expensive berries or other solutions. Chia, on the other hand, is very high in antioxidants and is not difficult to come across. Chia seeds stay fresh and available to eat for long periods of time when stored at room temperature.

Did you know that they can last for over two years without any preservative whatsoever and you cannot say that about other, more well-known seeds, which simply do not have the antioxidants?

5. Omega-3! Many of us love to eat fish on a regular basis, but it’s difficult and not palatable to include it every day in your diet. Also, you may be a vegetarian or may be concerned about how certain farmers cultivate the fish before they make it available for your dinner table. If you avoid fish altogether, you might not get enough omega-3 oil, which is a great supplement for your diet.

The good news is that chia, a plant-based source, is a great place to find your omega-3. Look after your heart and help to reduce your cholesterol by turning to chia rather than salmon. Quite apart from its benefits for your long-term health prognosis, it seems that omega-3 can also help you to lose weight. Many studies now show that overweight people significantly help their problem by including omega-3 on a regular basis.

6. Avoid the rollercoaster.Do you go through the day feeling peaks and troughs, one second full of energy and the next just ready to go to sleep? This has much to do with your blood sugar and imbalance caused when you eat those naughty sweets and starchy, complex foods.

The western diet is the culprit here and we all know this feeling. It can be bad for you though and if you don’t control it you can put yourself at elevated risk of type 2 diabetes.

You need to balance out your food intake as you digest it and the chia seed has been proven to help convert the food into a steady delivery of energy rather than those peaks and troughs.

The seed is made up of soluble and insoluble fiber and when combined with the gelling action that results when you swallow the seed, the processes are balanced out and sugar creation is leveled.

7. Fight off those illnesses.

We all eat too many convenience foods and rely on processed, boxed or canned products and a lot of flour. We tend to overlook the importance of fiber but should not, as it can lead to problematic health conditions, such as diverticulitis or diverticulosis.

You need to have regular bowel movements and fiber helps this a lot. In addition, you should make sure that you get a lot of both soluble and insoluble fiber. While you might not want to turn to bran flakes all the time, chia seeds are coated with soluble fibers.

The outside of the seed, on the other hand has an insoluble fiber that is not able to be digested, so it helps keep food moving down through your digestive tract. Gel coating of the seed helps to ensure food moves easily as it is processed.

8. Save more money.

If you’re serious about your diet, you should know that some of those special “box” plans can really run up your bill, sometimes to well over $100 a week. Diet pills are even more expensive and so, even though you are eating less, you are spending more.

Don’t be fooled into buying individual portions either as they cost more per portion due to the additional work that goes into producing them. Buy chia for a whole month, and you can expect to pay less than a dollar a day!

Remember that these super seeds are grown naturally and you can use as few or as many as you want to achieve the result desired. You don’t need to worry about reading the ingredients on the box either, as they are 100% free of chemicals and safe for you at all times. This really is the answer and it doesn’t get any easier than this!

9. Add additional flavor to foods.

It’s a little known fact that when chia seeds hydrate they can actually intensify the flavor and taste of whatever they have been added to. This is great when you are trying to flavor some bland foods and are trying to avoid some of the regular additives.

It’s amazing that the chia seed, which has no flavor, can do this but you can add them to whatever you like and they will distribute and enhance the flavor and never dilute the pleasure. Go ahead and sprinkle them on whatever you are in the mood for and don’t forget dressings, sauces and dips.

10. Substitute the fat and retain the taste.

If you’re an avid cook, you’ll undoubtedly like to bake goods at home but not be too happy about the oil and fatty-based products that you have to put in. Why not substitute chia? The food will taste the same and you will not have to change your baking process. Just pitch half of the fatty oil and use chia gel to make up the numbers.

Then go to a favorite recipe and you can be sure that the antioxidants in the chia will enable you to keep your masterpiece fresh for much longer. Replace oil and butter and enjoy the guilty delights!

Everyday I talk to people – both clients and friends of mine – who struggle with depression, weight gain, Cravings, mood swings, lack of energy, and more. In almost every case the person consumes a regular diet of refined sugar.

And most people have no idea how serious it really is. But the problem goes much deeper than simply feeling “down” all the time. What gets me so upset is, regardless of how many studies science produces to show the dangers of sugar, very few people are telling you the unvarnished truth… …sugar is a toxic poison. Ok, so you probably think I’m over-reacting a bit here, right?

To be honest, you wouldn’t be the first. And that’s what I mean. Most people treat sugar like it’s just a little vice. Well I’m here to tell you that the danger is much more severe And I’ve got 3 rock-solid reasons you need to get as far away from refined sugar as possible.

Toxic Reason # 1 — Sugar Leads to Cellular Death:

In 1957, Dr. William Coda Martin published a study on the chemical effects of sugar on the body. In a nutshell, here’s what’s going on… The process of refining sugar completely drains the sugar of vitamins and minerals. That’s why sugar is said to have nothing but empty calories. When the body tries to digest the refined sugar, it can’t break it down nutritionally. This creates a toxic acid called pyruvic acid. This acid has a lethal effect on our cells. Basically it blocks oxygen from getting through… resulting in cellular death. And, according to Dr. Martin, this “is the beginning of degenerative disease.”

Toxic Reason #2 — Sugar Drains the Body of Vitamins and Minerals:

Since Sugar is so difficult to break down, our bodies have to use a lot of vitamins and minerals just to make use of this toxin. So a sudden influx of sugar creates an incredible strain on the body. It takes everything it has such as: sodium, magnesium and potassium) just to bring the body back into balance.

In other words, sugar creates a chaotic mess in our bodies that takes a lot of our healthy resources to bring it back under control. Oh, and do you know why tooth decay comes from eating too many “sweets?” Because calcium is taken from bones and teeth to help protect the blood from the acid imbalance brought on by sugar. This leads to decay and weakening of the bones. Fun stuff, huh?

Toxic Reason # 3 — Sugar Leads to an All-Out Assault On the Vital Organs
At first, sugar is stored in the liver in the form of glycogen. But soon, after a daily diet of refined sugar, the liver.. swells like a balloon, This cause a backup of sugar ( now in fatty acid form) into the blood.

Next stop… inactive areas such as the waist, buttocks, belly, and thighs. Then another backup. Only this time, the fatty acid settles in the heart, kidneys, and other organs.

Their contaminated cells begin to turn into fat too. The organs begin to slow down, leading to high blood pressure, small brain paralysis, and diabetes.

And, believe it or not, that’s just for starters. Refined sugar affects digestion, body chemicals, and even the nervous system.

See why this drive me crazy? Sugar is one of the most dangerous substances you can put in your body. It over-takes every areas. It affects everything.
And our society is overrun with it.

But, you don’t have to live like a slave to the effects of sugar any longer. You can begin to make healthy food choices and start living life with more energy, excitement, and zest.

Most people hop out of bed in the morning and grab a coffee – often sweetened and thickened with cream – then look around the kitchen for more sweetness, figuring that’s the energy boost they need to start the day.

Unfortunately, for most of us, that craving for “sweet” doesn’t leave much room for vegetables.

Why aren’t we thinking vegetables instead? Perhaps it’s the stress of consuming five or more servings a day – what everyone from our doctors to the government’s food guidelines recommend! Or maybe it’s the thought of the after-effects of eating so many vegetables.

But there is a way of getting all the benefits from vegetables without feeling we have to pack a picnic basket full, or being afraid some of the harder-to-digest vegetables will have our guts in an uproar.

The answer is juicing.

Juicing vegetables will help you meet your five-a-day – or more – serving requirement in a highly efficient manner. At the same time, juicing will allow your body to absorb all the nutrients you need from your vegetables.

Think of juicing as the process of “pre-digesting” your food for you.

And that’s a good thing, since most of us have a dysfunctional digestive system from years of bad diet. As a result, our system “passes” most of the nutrients as waste.

Which is really a waste of good nutrients! With juicing, the process optimizes your body’s ability to absorb nutrients. Which means you have more energy right from the get-go, and it’s easy on your digestive system.

For you carb cravers, meeting the five-a-day or more rule is very important. In fact, it’s recommended that you consume about one pound of raw vegetables per 50 pounds of body weight each and every day.

Now that’s one big stack of vegetables! Since munching on vegetables all day can get pretty boring, you’ll appreciate juicing.

One of the benefits is that you can choose from a wider variety of vegetables, because you won’t have to worry about whether you can digest them.

You can even juice vegetables you wouldn’t normally find pleasing to your palate, because mixed with several other varieties, you’re able to create your own flavours.

Juicing is all about raw foods, but it does not have to mean “no cooked foods.” Juicing simply encourages including as much raw food as possible, because these foods have so many more nutrients and enzymes than their cooked counterparts.

For example, vegetables have been found to contain 77% more B6, 86% more vitamin E and up to 40% more zinc than cooked vegetables. The fresh juice of plants is very much like the juice of our own cells.

The essential elements that may be lacking in your body’s cells – particularly the live enzymes, bioactive vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and other unknown factors – can be easily absorbed through daily fresh green juices.

Raw greens are the basics of nature’s medicines as well. When an animal is ill, it nibbles on green grass and weeds, or fasts, depending on its instincts.

These animals have no medication and no doctors, but they inherently know what will make them well.

The same rule governs humans. Simply adding fresh green juices to your existing diet has a great effect on a variety of illnesses. Humans die from more than 250 known diseases, while grass-eating wild animals usually die of only five to 10 diseases.

The reason, scientists say, is the level of fresh, naturally grown food in the diet.

I can’t stress enough how keeping your menu to liquids - green juices! - in the morning is an excellent way to aid your body’s natural repair cycles.

Since our bodies are usually far too acidic, this is a good way to help flush out all the bad things and replace them with the good ones we need.

Just as blood is the key to our survival as humans, so are the properties in juices the key to survival for plants. And if it is so important to them, juices are equally as important to us!

By ingesting the enzymes, alkaline, minerals and vitamins found naturally occurring in plants, we are able to bring ourselves back to the balance found before processed foods and fast food slowed our digestive system.

Here’s what I DO and RECOMMEND:

Take 1 to 2 8-ounce servings of fresh vegetable green juice during your fasting day (once a week or every day). Juice kale, cucumber, celery and a bit of apple.

The most important addition to your green drink is blue-green or green algae like spirulina, chlorella and wild blue green algae. They all help to correct blood sugar imbalance because they’re rich in minerals and easily absorbable protein.

They renew cells and can reverse the degenerative aging process, helping to rebuild the tissues of the liver, the nervous system, the brain and every other part of the body.

And to get you started, here’s one of my favourite recipes, Juice Morning Magic.

Juice Morning Magic

• 1 cup cucumber juice
• 1 cup celery juice
• 1 cup Kale Juice
• Juice 1 apple
• small piece of ginger
• Optional: add sunflower Sprouts
Juice all ingredients in a juicer and enjoy.

It does tell you indirectly, though and you’ll notice, when it starts to function or perform poorly.

How will you know it’s functioning poorly~ For starters, your skin will look older then it should be, you’ll see more blemishes, more pimples, more marks, and more rashes than normal.

You can help the liver’s regenerative process by adding these foods and nutrients to your diet: Rather than indulging in heavy dishes, fried pastries and bottles of wine add some of these nutritious foods to your diet and
give yourself and your liver a true gift.

I’ve received many questions regarding liver and gallbladder cleanse! Such as:

Best time to do liver/gallbladder cleanse?

How often should it be done?

How long does it take to receive the full benefits?

Which book do you recommend to read?

I am pregnant, is it okay for me to do a liver cleanse?

Is it really important to do a colonic before each liver cleanse?

Personally, I do a liver and gallbladder cleanse 3-4 times a year. I’ll do one in the spring and another one or two in the summer and another one in the fall just before winter but not in the winter time.

I did an interview with Annie Jubb, She’s widely recognized as a world authority on detoxifying the body and self-rejuvenation. She usually recommends between 12 and 15 gallbladder flushes. You can do that over a couple of years, every couple of months. It depends. If you’re not well, you can do one every week for six months if you want to. She had many clients who have been healing from cancers, and a number of them have gone for six months doing a weekly gallbladder flush.

Q: How many liver cleanses would a person need to go on and how would we know that the liver is clean?

This answer was from Andreas Moritz, author of The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse. Obviously, you would want to clean the liver until there’s nothing coming out anymore. That means all the bile ducts in the liver – and you’re talking about hundreds and thousands of bile ducts. It’s like a tree – actually there are two trees in the liver, where you have the main trunk, and you have the big branches, and then smaller branches, and then tiny branches.

It took 12 liver flushes to clear out all the stones that I had, and that amounted to about 3.5 thousand stones. Not everyone has that many, but there are quite a few that have many more than that.

Q: How does the average person know?

It’s how you look and feel. Are you looking and feeling good, or have you noticed yourself aging and not having the greatest energy lately? Have you been eating a lot of starchy foods and cooked foods? Maybe it’s time for a little cleanse.

Q: If someone is pregnant, is it safe to do a liver cleanse?

It is, and it’s wonderful for both the mother and the baby. With pregnant women, as with everyone.

Q: If you had your gallbladder removed, can you still do a cleanse?

When I asked the question to Andreas Moritz, author of The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse, here what he said:

People don’t realize that the gallbladder is not the only place where you can hold stones. In fact, most of the stones are carried in the liver. So the patient is not told when they tell her or him that his gallbladder needs to be removed because there are stones in there that once the stones are gone with the gallbladder, everything is going to be fine. That is not quite true.

The complaints will actually increase in a different way because you don’t have a gallbladder and you cannot have the typical gallstone attack that you could have when the stone from the gallbladder enters the common bile duct. Your common bile duct starts to contract and then you have a spasm that radiates into your shoulders and into your intestines, even into your head and into your legs. So it can radiate throughout the body, and you cannot breathe properly.

An attack is not a fun thing, but removing the gallbladder is only one way to deal with stones – there are other ways to stop the attack naturally. Give a person a tablespoon of Epsom salt and a glass of water and that will relax the bile duct because magnesium has that ability. Magnesium sulfate is basically Epsom salt. Then the person would allow that stone to travel through, and then the attack would stop.

Q: Is it really necessary to have a colonic before or after each liver and gall bladder cleanse.

For optimum results, the liver cleanse should always be prepared and followed by some from of colonic cleansing. Experience shows that there are always some stones left behind that could become a source of toxicity, irritation, or inflammation. It is strongly recommend that you do not do liver cleanses without having a colonic or an enema afterward. Ref: Andreas Moritz: The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse.

Q: Which book would you recommend out there for Liver and Gallbladder cleanse?
