Yesterday Yvan and I took a road trip out to New Mexico and through Texas. Along the way, We stopped at the White Sands National Monument. http://www.nps.gov/whsa/ I have never in my life seen something this cool (and weird) looking. It feels like you are either walking through a blizzard of snow or a gigantic bowl of sugar.

We drove another 3 hours to New Mexico’s Carlsbad Caverns:
http://www.nps.gov/cave/ and Did the main tour of the cavern It was quite a workout, but worth it! The cavern was so enormous, the size of 5 foot ball field. It took my breath away and was quite beautiful.

I’m in Albuquerque, New Mexico now for the next three months. We just finished settling down and found a beautiful condo within walking distance to everything we need. I’ll fill you in more about my personal journey next week via my blog.

Saturday in the Toronto Star Newspaper their was an article about our lifestyle. “Four years ago, the couple bought an attractive home on a secluded lake and vowed they, too, would live off the grid and become more self-sufficient in every way. They installed a wind turbine and solar panels and have no trouble generating enough electrical power to run their home. Because the house is of traditional construction, they need three wood stoves to heat its 2,000 square feet of space. A backup propane heater suffices when they are away in cold weather.Click here to read the story

With my niece Kim and Andre! “Their experience at the cottage included having wheatgrass and smoothies in the morning, getting fresh ingredients from the garden, eating raw chocolate mousse and making wheat grass and clay masks”
