Green Juice Fast

People often ask me how I keep my skin so soft and radiant! Well, it’s a combination of a few things:

  • Eating a healthy diet
  • Doing a short one-day cleanse every week
  • Staying hydrated
  • Using only all-natural, chemical-free products on my face and body
  • Exercise: I do 20 minutes of yoga every morning, take a 45-minute brisk walk every day, and jump on a trampoline 2x a week for 20 minutes

So you can see that it’s all these things together that keep my skin looking great.

I also use super-foods and herbs that help nourish not only my skin, but also bones, muscles, hair, nails, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, reproductive system, pancreas, and immune system. And with long-term use, super-foods and herbs can also correct imbalances and help to guide us towards a more natural and original diet. You can see that consuming these super-foods and herbs makes it easier to achieve your ideal weight by helping to change your eating habits. A short one-day or weekend juice fast is an excellent way to supply the live enzymes that speed up the body’s cleansing process. It also helps to flush out the toxins in your body and reset your system. The juices contained in green drinks are assimilated directly into the body without stimulating or stressing the digestive system and are perfect for a short-term fast.

Let’s start the Green Juice Fast

I recommend going one day a week without food to all my clients. Doing a juice fast once a week allows the body to rest from food is extremely beneficial. On those days, I recommend three 4 to 8-ounce servings of green vegetable juice.

Here’s a plan you can start now, and use once a week, as I do. I’ll give you the formula that I use for myself and my clients.

Sample Green Juice Fast:

6:00 a.m.:Drink a glass of warm water with lemon and honey to taste
8:00 a.m. Mix 1 teaspoon of quality green powder in 8 oz water with 6 digestive enzymes
9:00 a.m. Drink more Green juice
11:00 p.m.Mix 1 teaspoon of quality green powder in 8 oz water with 6 digestive enzymes
12:00 Drink more Green juice
3:00 p.m. Mix 1 teaspoon of quality green powder in 8 oz water with 6 digestive enzymes
5:00 p.m. Drink more Green juice
8:00 p.m.  Warm herbal tea of your choice, according to your condition, season and constitution (a 6-8 oz. glass, depending on your body weight)

Note: choose organic produce as much as possible, and drink immediately after extracting-but be sure to drink slowly. Use whatever greens and produce you have in your garden or what is in season.
When juicing greens, balance them with pleasant, sweet tasting vegetables such celery, kale, apple, cucumber and ginger.
