Our teleclass last week was amazing! I had the privilege of talking with Dr. Edward Group about the toxins in our environment and how they impact our health.
Having studied natural healing methods for over 20 years, he shared with us how we can begin to identify and then eliminate toxins from our home and diet.
The root cause of so many health conditions today is that we have too many toxins coming into the body and not enough toxins going out.
And it’s not just one toxin that causes disease.
It’s the combination and accumulation of many different toxins we’re exposed to in our air, water, and food.
It all begins indoors, whether at home or work, which is where North Americans spend 90% of our time.
If your home and office environments are toxic, you will be too.
Toxins can be generated by off-gassing from paint on walls, cleaning chemicals, carpets, drapes, furniture and clothing, as well as pet dander, dust mites, and mold/mildew.
We breathe these toxic substances in and expose our body and nervous system to their effects.
Since we take 30,000 breaths each day, this is one of the first things Dr. Group recommends cleaning up. And it’s surprisingly affordable!
Water is another dangerous source of toxins. Everything living is made up of at least 80% water.
This means if the water is contaminated and you’ve been exposed to it, you’re contaminated too.
Tap water today contains fluoride, chlorine, arsenic, lead, bacteria and viruses, parasites, and prescription drug residue, as well as electromagnetic radiation.
Unfortunately, these things are not filtered out through municipal water systems, and this results in what is essentially hazardous waste coming out of our taps.
The good news is that through education we can identify the harmful substances we’re exposed to and begin to gradually but steadily reduce our exposure by replacing those substances with affordable natural, organic alternatives.
Start in the bedroom where you sleep, gradually eliminating and/or replacing things that are toxic.
Since 95% of toxins enter through the intestinal tract, it’s extremely important to get those toxins out as fast as they come in.
You clean your kitchen right after you cook.
Think about what it would look like after three days if you if left all of your stuff out and didn’t clean up.
