How Do You Put a Stop to Emotional Eating

Healthlady1 The comment I hear most often, “I want to change,” or “I want to start putting myself first,
or “What do I want?” Only you can answer that question. Start by getting personal – and honest – with yourself. Ask yourself deeper questions – every day. You might be surprised at your answers! Once you start to have this incredible relationship with yourself, you will begin to notice the magic around you.

I quote from Louise Hay’s book, Heal Your Body, from a chapter that looks at things that hold us back and the probable causes of much of our unhappiness. She wrote, “Addiction: Running from the self. Fear: Not knowing how to love the self”.

So how do you put a stop to emotional eating? Read More

Why Use Greens?

QuantumGreensOrganically grown greens from grade 10 plants are one of the most potent healing foods on our planet. One special form of greens, the cereal grasses, have been used for centuries and are well known for their spectacular, health-rejuvenating properties.

After weaning, what food does a baby calf need to be able to grow into a healthy, full-grown adult cow? Only fresh grass. (Cows always prefer fresh grass over commercial feeds or dried hay. The more a cow is raised on non-grass sources, the more its health suffers.) Even a baby elephant is able to grow into a huge, multi-ton, adult elephant eating only grass.
Grass and The Eyes
Grasses also contain an abundance of vitamin A, an important vitamin needed to help clear sick mucus membranes (mouth, sinuses, ears, eyes, digestive tract). The Bible mentions the relationship between healthy eyes and eating grass (referring to animals): ‚ÄúAnd their eyes did fail because there was no grass.” (Jeremiah 14:5,6)
Quantum DNA Repair Agent
Because of the synergistic effect of its broad-spectrum of nutrients, grasses are premier functional foods and an excellent intracellular DNA repair agent. This is good news for all of us, since our bodies are now routinely exposed to agents all around us which can cause DNA damage, including pesticide residues in our foods, commercialcleaning agents, synthetic perfumes, chemotherapy, exposure to increased ionizing radiation while on airplane flights, clothes dry cleaning agents, outgassing chemicals from carpet, paint, and fixtures, fumes from ink, printers, and xerox machines, etc. For those who already have extensive DNA disruption and damage (as in many chronic diseases), cereal grasses can prove to be powerful agents to help restore and rejuvenate damaged DNA.

Quantum Greens

Beware of the 6 pitfalls of a weak greens product:

from: Global Health Healing Center

  1. Is The Kitchen Sink Included? To look more competitive (or maybe to cover up poor quality),some products claim to have a huge number of ingredients. From greens to fruits, some products have just about everything but the kitchen sink. But more is not better, and in many cases, poor combinations of nutrients are an outright clash ‚Äî which can create intestinal distress or worse problems. For example, certain vegetable extracts may go well together, but combine poorly with other items, especially fruits. Would you eat broccoli and bananas together? Would you combine garlic and peaches? Obviously your body doesn’t think so either. Don’t be fooled by a laundry list of ingredients.

Gut Flush: FOOD FRIGHT

Gutflushplan_ Total Health Magazine ~ May 2009 Ann Louise Gittleman

Today, more than ever before, our bodies are bombarded by chemicals, environmental pollutants, nasty bacteria, and parasites.
These toxins can spread far beyond the digestive tract and in some cases, turn deadly. Even the produce aisle, where fruits and veggies had always been a safe haven for health-conscious and calorie-concerned consumers, is getting scary. You know what I mean because practically every day we see headlines like these:

“Melamine in Pet Food…”
“Salmonella Contaminates Peanut Butter in 26 States…”
“Bagged Spinach Tainted by E.coli…”
“Contaminated Beef Recalled in 22 States…”
“The Parasite Cryptosporidium Survives Chlorination and May Contaminate Tap Water…”
“Parasite in Tap Water May Cause Blindness…”

Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain

JohnJratey I was reading the Magazine Success from Success.com this weekend and one interesting article caught my attention. The article on Dr. Ratey about his new book called, “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and The Brain”.

Dr Ratey discusses a High School in Naperville, Illinois where a different approach physical education is taken. The students don’t simply play dodge ball and soccer. They wear heart monitors and are graded on the amount of time they are able to keep their heart rate within an optimal aerobic range for their body type. After PE, the kids attend classes. As a result of their targeted physical education, the standardized test scores of the entire student body has jumped.
