Health Coaching: A Collaborative Approach to Achieving Wellness

Health coaching, although still relatively new in the wellness field, is ever expanding, and for good reason. More and more individuals are taking charge of their own health and are deciding that they’re ready to make significant lifestyle changes.

Wisely, they also recognize that it’s often difficult to accomplish those changes on their own; so they hire a health coach.

Acid/Alkaline Diet: It’s All About Balance

Have you ever wondered if there’s a common cause of disease? Many doctors and nutritionists believe that the explanation may come down to three words: acid/alkaline imbalance.

Let me explain further. Our blood is slightly alkaline, with a normal pH level around 7.4. So, for optimal health, we strive to maintain a pH balance of 7.4 or higher.

The 21-day “No Complaining and Worrying” Fast

Grateful00 Last week’s TeleClass with Laura Fenamore: WHY DIETS ARE OUT AND HEALTHY BODY IMAGE is in!

We talked about what power tools each of us have to help us take control of our life. We also discussed tools and methods that can help us create permanent change regarding weight. One of them was to Stop Complaining.

Laura mentioned that we’re close to Valentine’s Day. If you choose to celebrate this holiday of love, why not also devote the next 21 days to self-love as well~ Practice the art of self-love… let’s call this your 21-day ~No Complaining and Worrying~ Fast

Try to spend the rest of the month in gratitude, and offer thanks for the pluses in your life rather than bemoaning pain and regrets. As a matter fact, make it a point to write down 5 things to be grateful for every single day. There are so many things in life to be grateful for, if we just stop to think about it!

Imagine how much time we would have, and how much space there would be in our minds, if we put all our complaining and worrying aside.

The replay of the interview will soon be available in the Member’s Area. I’m working on that now, and will fill you in on the details later.

And to get you started on the no complain fast, here’s a great quote from Tina Turner:
“Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go. Purge yourself if you are unhappy with anything. Whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it, because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.”

Teleclass: What Does Your Face Say About Your Health

Diagnostic_book Diagnostic Face Reading and the Holistic You with Roger Bezanis.

The face and eyes are truly the center of our world. You will learn how the face describes moment to moment just how healthy you are, how healthy you will be and what can be passed on to your newborn.

Many parts of the face are completely or partially fluid and change in a matter of a few hours or days.

The face tells us what to except to happen and what has happened to our internal organs. The reason we have dry skin, flaky skin, winkled skin, scars, age spots and blemishes is due to trouble with the associated organ.

Did you miss your chance to join us in the live session? No problem! You can still access the audio recording and transcript

The New Psycho-cybernetics

Psycho-cyberneticsYvan and I are in the habit of listening to various audio CD’s if we happen to be in the car for more than an hour. Yesterday morning we left at 7:00 a.m. to go the Hot Spring!

Our visit to the Hot Springs was very relaxing.
There’s something magical about soaking in therapeutic mineral waters.
It’s naturally heated to temperatures as high as
105 F to 115 F. Didn’t really feel like coming out. Something you might want you to experience one day, if you’ve never been in a hot spring.

Having said that, we finished listening to “The New Psycho-Cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz, filled with good sense and powerful encouragement (if you’re willing to leave your old fearful thinking in the dust, where it belongs). If you’re not, even a book oraudio this good can’t move you.

Anyway, back to positive thinking: I’ve seen it happen more than once with friends and clients, even myself, when we find fault after fault with the best health resources because they challenge us to do something frightening and revolutionary- like GET WELL.

Even when the best strategy is within our grasp, we often choose to either reject it or embrace it, depending on how afraid we are of an unfamiliar, healthy lifestyle. However, if you’re REALLY fed up with all the problems in your life that stem from your lack of self-esteem, and if you’re honestly committed to finding a better existence, and if you’re ready to outsmart your fears, then let’s get started.

If you’re taking baby steps, this book by Maxwell Maltz encourages you, and if you feel as if you’re falling off a cliff, this book catches you.

This audio/ book is too good to pass up, and I highly recommend it. The New Psycho-cybernetics

Have you ever felt “tipsy” on a full moon?

Clock1
Many of us never think of what our bodies are up to. What happens on a daily basis, we take for granted. We eat, sleep and use the bathroom. We have different lifestyles. But yet one thing remains the same, no matter who you are. Our bodies, weather we like it or not, have an internal body clock. Have you ever felt “tipsy” on a full moon? Or perhaps you’ve commented on someone’s behavior during a full moon.

This is because our body’s reacting to the planet’s magnetic forces. There is nothing supernatural about it. It just happens. Scientists will tell you, “Every planet has some magnetic pull”.

If you think that the moon has some effects on the tides, then you’d be right. Then why can’t the same thing happen to the fluids in our bodies? Read More
