Another name that you are probably familiar with after reading my blogs is Brigitte Mars. She is the author of Love, Sex & Health and in an interview that I had with her last year she shares some of her thoughts on how we should use food, our minds and our hearts to ensure our sexual vitality. Many of us have experienced the changes in our sexual desire and function as we age.
Some of the changes can be great and some of them can be a little less than great. I loved this interview that I had with Brigitte. I learned so much and couldn’t wait to share some important points that came out of it. Brigitte is also one of my favorite herbalist authors to date!

A cup of warm water followed by a cup of nettle tea first thing in the morning will get you going in the bowel department.
Nettle is detoxifying and improves the ability of the liver and kidneys to cleanse the blood. It also curbs the appetite and cleanses toxins from the body.
The Nettle plant is used to treat gout and arthritis and has antihistamines and asthma-relieving properties. It is also used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, blood cleaner, diuretic and digestive stimulant. Nettle infusion is a safe, gentle diuretic which is considered restorative for the kidneys and bladder. It’s also recommended for weight loss, but you may shed more pounds of water than fat.

Hot or Ice Nettle Tea. Bring a quart of water to a boil. Put 2 tablespoons of dry nettle leaves into a teapot and cover with the boiling water. Let the tea brew for 3-5 minutes. Strain before cooling. Add more water, lemon, and your stevia.

We’re all in toxic overload. That’s the bad news. Here is the good news – 80% of that toxic load that you’re exposed to is under your personal control. So anybody can learn how to take personal control and reduce their toxic load by 80%. That’s exactly what I’ve done in my life and that’s why I’m getting younger, and that’s why I’m so healthy, because I’ve reduced my toxic load. Anybody can learn how to do this.
